chocoholic brunch walk

This tour is designed as a leisurely start to your weekend. Discover chocolate treasures in Melbourne's lanes and arcades, taste the best chocolate in town and chat about the mysteries and fascination surrounding the world of chocolate.

Tour highlights (itinerary may be subject to change without notice – read more)

Start the morning at Laurent Boulangerie Patisserie by sampling petit-fours – chocolate, of course – along with your favourite drink – hot chocolate, tea or coffee. Still at this stylish two-storey food temple, we start our tasting session! We chat about the growing and making of chocolate, then you will have Chocolatier and other fine chocolates from Belgium and/or Switzerland (made from the best cacao beans in the world), which will surely delight your palate.

Wander through the elegant Block Arcade, home to Haigh's Chocolates, an Australian chocolate family dynasty established in 1915. At Haigh's you will taste unique chocolates and discuss a little of the company's history, while soaking up the atmosphere of the most elegant arcade in Melbourne.

Enough? No, your taste buds will be challenged by other flavours. We walk up Collins Street, with its fashionable boutiques and historical buildings, to one of Melbourne's fine heritage icons, the Manchester Unity Building. This is home to Caffé Mediterraneum. This lovely venue is tucked away in the building's decorative arcade. A freshly-made Belgian chocolate muffin cake and yet another hot chocolate if your heart so desires. Relax at your leisure, there is no rush to leave.
