Let's embark on a delicious chocolate journey. To the most elegant area of Melbourne – the Paris end of Collins Street. Passport or suitcase are not required; just a passion for chocolate!

We start our walking tour in the fashionable Collins Place, home to The Chocolate Box. Like Parisians, The Chocolate Box believes that everyone should enjoy life (and eating chocolate can help us achieve this). Get ready to have your eyes and palates delighted with different flavours, shapes and colours.

Now it is time to go to Haigh's Chocolates, also on Collins Street. Here we combine tastings with an insight into the history of the family who has dedicated its last four generations from 1915 to the making of chocolate.

Just a few steps and we arrive at Koko Black, a divine chocolate salon located at the Melville House. Melville House is historically significant as one of the few surviving 19th century residences in the central city area. It is representative of the more domestic scale buildings that were occupied by professionals such as doctors and lawyers at the top end of Collins Street.

Enough? No, there is more! To be specific, at Collins Quarter. At a two-storey Victorian terrace, touched by the hand of modernity and the fingers of pastry chefs, we have our delicious afternoon tea...

When – Saturday, at 2.15pm
Duration – 1.5–2 hours approximately
Meeting time – Saturday tours: 2.05pm (for a 2.15pm start)

Meeting point – Outside The Chocolate Box, at Collins Place, 45 Collins Street (corner of Exhibition and Collins Streets), Melbourne (see map). Enter Collins Place via Collins Street, turn right and go downstairs. View location on Google Maps (if you are in doubt, call 03 9686 4655 or, on the day of the tour, 0412 158 017). Print these instructions (including parking and public transport)

Tour size – maximum number is 26 participants (individuals and groups are welcome; note that you don't need to have a group to join us). Due to some tour stops, the chocolate walking tours are not wheelchair or pram friendly

Cost – $35 (all-inclusive; adults or children – adults with children from 6 years of age must pay for the kids)
Booking essential – contact us to book your tour; to request booking online, use our booking form
Payment – After availability of places is confirmed, payment (prior to the tour) can be made by MasterCard or Visa by telephone (03 9686 4655 or 0412 158 017) or online; alternatively, send a cheque or money order to 145/28 Southgate Avenue, Southbank, VIC, 3006 (attach a note with your name, tour date and name)

Recipients of gift vouchers should quote their voucher number when booking a tour (note: we cannot accept expired vouchers)

Extra gift – If you are joining one of our walks to celebrate an important occasion or want to add a special touch to your tour, request a gift pack with your booking! For an additional cost of $20, the recipient receives, on the date of their tour, a box with eight chocolates from one of Melbourne's top chocolatiers and a specially made badge with the words "I'm a chocoholic" (items cannot be sold separately).

Cancellation policy

If you cancel your booking up to five (5) business days before the booked walk, you can book another tour (subject to availability) or request a refund.
If you cancel your booking less than five (5) business days before the booked walk, you can transfer it to another person (a friend or relative, for example), but you are committed to the original booked date and tour. No refund is given.
