Chocolate afternoon tea (Extra Friday afternoon tour)
An afternoon filled with chocolates... This walking tour starts in Koko Black, located in the oldest arcade in Melbourne, the Royal Arcade. At this chocolate temple, we chat to its chocolatier and put our hungry taste buds to the test, with delicious Belgian-style truffles.
It is time to go to a place that used to be a meeting point for Melburnians: the General Post Office. Now the GPO welcomes fashion and chocolate lovers and, while we talk about this architectural and historical icon, we taste precious creations from Cacao Fine Chocolates.
Our next stop is another icon – The Block Arcade, considered the most sophisticated arcade in Melbourne. Here we combine tastings with an insight into the history of the family who has dedicated its last four generations from 1915 to the making of chocolate. Then, when you thought you could not possibly eat more chocolate, we go to Brunetti, a little piece of Italy in City Square, or another stylish café, for a delicious afternoon tea.
