The indulgent afternoon begins at Haigh's Chocolates in the Block Arcade, the most elegant arcade in Melbourne. Here we combine tastings with an insight into the history of the family who has dedicated its last four generations from 1915 to the making of chocolate.

Next the walking tour goes on to Galleria. At this reshaped centre, we visit Déva, a concept store which caters to all senses, especially our chocolate senses, with its exclusive Cocoa-Le-Art handmade chocolates. A stroll takes us to the Hub Arcade, where The Chokolait Hub is seducing chocoholics with delicious treats. A tasting of one of their chocolate drinks will prove this!

A few steps lead to the Royal Arcade, the oldest arcade in Melbourne, where mythical gods Gog and Magog watch over the chocolate world of Koko Black. Chat to its chocolatier, soak up the atmosphere of this exquisite salon and taste one of their handcrafted chocolates.

Now it is time for afternoon tea at Laurent Boulangerie Patisserie, one of the most stylish cafes in Melbourne. Hot chocolate, tea or coffee and one of their rich French cake creations. Relax and enjoy the great atmosphere!

When – Friday, at 2pm; this tour can be arranged for groups on other weekdays (the fee per person increases if the group has less than 12 people; locations may change due to their availability on other weekdays)
Tours occur throughout the year, in all weather conditions
Duration – 1.5–2 hours approximately
Meeting time – Friday tours: 1.50pm (for a 2pm start)

Meeting point – Haigh's Chocolates, at Block Arcade, Melbourne (see map). Enter the arcade via Collins or Elizabeth Street, and follow the corridor for about 50 metres. Melway reference 1B L7 (if you are in doubt, call 03 9686 4655 or, on the day of the tour, 0412 158 017). Print these instructions (including parking and public transport)

Tour size – maximum number is 26 participants (individuals and groups are welcome; note that you don't need to have a group to join us); if there are less than 12 people booked for any tour, its operation is at the discretion of the company (but tours become fully booked very fast). Due to some tour stops, the chocolate walking tours are not wheelchair or pram friendly

Private tours on Friday at 2pm can only be arranged if your group has at least 26 participants (groups with less people will be joined by other chocoholics)

Cancellation policy

If you cancel your booking up to five (5) business days before the booked walk, you can book another tour (subject to availability) or request a refund.
If you cancel your booking less than five (5) business days before the booked walk, you can transfer it to another person (a friend or relative, for example), but you are committed to the original booked date and tour. No refund is given.
