  1. I am planning to participate in a tour in a month; how far in advance do I need to make a booking?
Tours become booked out quickly, so be fast! Pick your preferred date and tour (as well as alternate dates and tours – if possible, please have a plan B), and contact us as soon as possible.

  2. Do I need to have a group the join the walking tour?
If you wish to join one of our walking tours on Fridays or Saturdays, you don't need to have a group to join us. Groups are only requested for private walks.

  3. What is the difference between the walks?
The itinerary varies according to the tour. Some tours have chocolate stops in common, but some of them have unique places, so you can join us many times to discover Melbourne's chocolate places. Please check the description of the walks to make your choice.

  4. May the tour itineraries be subject to change?
Some of the places may be temporarily closed for renovations or may close down, for example, which are things beyond our control. If there are changes to the meeting place, we always contact our chocoholics. However, we may not have enough time to contact all the tour participants about changes to other tour stops. We do apologise for any inconvenience. If you have specific preferences, please contact us to check your itinerary before the tour date.

  5. Do you have tours on Sundays?
We run our regular tours on Fridays and Saturdays. We also conduct special tours (for groups only) on Monday to Friday and group tours on Monday to Saturday.

  6. I chose my tour and saw the meeting time and place on this website; can I simply show up?
Bookings are essential. As tours book out quickly, please contact Chocoholic Tours as soon as possible.

  7. I have a tour this Saturday and the forecast says it is going to rain; will you run the tour?
Please bring an umbrella and get ready to enjoy your chocolate journey. Most of the places we go are indoor, so we are able to run the tour.

  8. Is there much walking involved in the tours?
No, it is a stroll. Please note that the Chocolate and sweet temptations walk includes a walk up Collins Street (from Swanston Street towards Spring Street). If walking is a main concern, join our Chocoholic brunch walk or contact Chocoholic Tours to discuss.

  9. I have a tour scheduled for this Saturday. Can I reschedule the tour if I am not able to attend it?
Your only option is to transfer your booking (or gift voucher) to a friend or relative. Unfortunately you cannot schedule another tour and no refund can be given. Please check our cancellation policy.

  10. Can I pay for the tour on the day?
We request payment to confirm bookings. Please view the payment methods available.

  11. How can I pay for a tour if I don't have a credit card?
You can pay by cheque or money order (view the details). Alternatively, you can make a bank deposit (please contact Chocoholic Tours for details).

  12. Do I need to take money with me to pay for the tastings?
The fee includes tastings, treats and morning or afternoon tea (depending on the time of your tour). You will only need comfortable shoes (you may wish to take an umbrella and a bottle of water). You will be able to purchase chocolates along the way or you can return to the chocolate places at the end of the tour. Some of the places offer discount to our chocoholics!

  13. A friend will join the tour. As I don't eat chocolate, can I go along with my friend for free?
The fee pays not only for the chocolate tastings, but the whole experience offered by the chocolate places and the tour guide. You can still join in the tour, but the fee will be charged.

  14. I am diabetic; can I join your tours?
Always have your medical advice in mind and consume as much as you can. Note that you can take any samples and treats back home or share with friends and/or relatives who come along in the tour.

  15. I am allergic to certain products, like gluten and nuts; can I join your tours?
Our walking tours include products with or traces of gluten, milk and nuts, so the walks are not recommended for people who are allergic to these ingredients. If you decide to join one of our tours, make sure you talk to the staff of the chocolate places before consuming anything. Chocoholic Tours takes no responsibility for any food reaction that participants may have (and we don't want you to get sick; we want you to have a great time!). Note that you can take any samples and treats back home or share with friends and/or relatives who come along.

  16. My children love chocolates; can they join the tour?
Congratulations on passing on the chocoholic genes! Your children can participate in the tours (you need to make a booking for children from 6 years of age). Parents and kids pay the same fee, $30 each.

  17. My child is too young to eat so many chocolates; can I take him/her with me?
If possible, please try to find someone to take care of your children, to enjoy your tour the most and out of respect for other chocoholics. Also note that some tour stops cannot comfortably accommodate prams. In case you don't find anyone, note that children from 6 years of age need to pay the $30 fee.
