For only one weekend of August, Mitchelton Wines, of Nagambie, opened their doors for the Mitchelton Chocolate Festival. Combining two things that we love so much in one place means not only food and fun but a great way to spend a weekend.
The festival started off with Drew Maddison from The Ministry of Chocolate talking us through how to pair chocolate with the right wine.
If you’re a fan of 54% dark, then match it with a Cabernet Sauvignon. But if you like the intense dark (80%) match it with a strong robust Print Shiraz.
But it wasn’t all just chocolate – a little section for kids offered bunnies and lambs to pet and play with.
Later on, we were lucky enough to get a glimpse of Kirsten ‘Queen of Chocolate’ Tibballs working her incredible magic.
